Departs 1 hour before sunrise (exact times vary seasonally).

Also included: Pick-up & drop-off in the greater Jackson Hole area, refreshments, image critique & editing lesson.

Preparing for your workshop:

All tours depart roughly 1 hour before sunrise, so make sure to rest up before your trip.

Test your equipment, charge batteries, and clear memory cards the day before departure. Wildlife in Yellowstone tends to be less accustomed to people and is thus on average farther than in the Tetons. If you don’t own a lens with a focal length of at least 400mm and want to photograph wildlife, consider renting equipment with us for your tour.

Weather in Yellowstone National Park changes quickly, so layers are important. Temperatures before sunrise may be below freezing and rise to 80 F by mid-day. Snow, sun, and rain can all occur in a single day, especially in spring and fall.

We will provide snack bars, tea, and instant coffee for your enjoyment during the day. A stop will be made for a complimentary lunch at one of the concessions inside the park. Don’t forget a water bottle!

Want to photograph like a pro, but don’t have pro equipment? We have you covered.

Whether you shoot Nikon, Sony, or Canon we have super-telephoto lenses available to rent for your trip to the Tetons or Yellowstone. If you don’t have a camera or want to try the latest technology in wildlife photography, we also rent pro mirrorless cameras with animal-eye detection focus to help you achieve your creative vision.

Choose gear rental when you reserve your trip.
