Sunrise or Sunset in the Tetons Workshop

Want to photograph landscapes and wildlife in the Tetons but don’t have much time? Spend your choice of either sunrise or sunset learning photography in the Tetons and search for the season’s best wildlife sightings and photogenic landscapes along the way.

Departs 1 hour before sunrise or 4 hours before sunset (exact times vary seasonally so please ignore times listed in the calendar).

Also included: Pick-up & drop-off in the greater Jackson Hole area, coffee/tea, snacks, basic image critique on back of camera.

Preparing for your workshop:

Test your equipment before the tour, charge batteries, and clear memory cards. If you don’t own a lens with a focal length of 400mm or longer and want to photograph wildlife, consider renting equipment with us for your tour.

Weather in Grand Teton National Park changes quickly, so layers are important. Temperatures before sunrise may be below freezing and rise to 80 F by mid-day. Snow, sun, and rain can all occur in a single day.

We will provide lunch in the park or in Jackson Hole at the end of the workshop, as well as snack bars, tea, and instant coffee for your enjoyment during the day. Don’t forget a water bottle!

Want to photograph like a pro, but don’t have pro equipment? We have you covered.

Whether you shoot Nikon, Sony, or Canon we have super-telephoto lenses available to rent for your trip to the Tetons or Yellowstone. If you don’t have a camera or want to try the latest technology in wildlife photography, we also rent pro mirrorless cameras with animal-eye detection focus to help you achieve your creative vision.

Choose gear rental when you reserve your trip.
