Grand Teton Split-Day Workshop

Most popular

Maximize the potential for stunning light and active wildlife by starting at dawn, taking a mid-day break, and returning to the park for an evening session. If you only have 1 day in the area, a split-day in Grand Teton will give you the best chances to see wildlife.

Departs 1 hour before sunrise and 4 hours before sunset (exact times vary seasonally).

Also included: Pick-up & drop-off in the greater Jackson Hole area, refreshments, image critique & editing lesson.

Preparing for your workshop:

All tours depart roughly 1 hour before sunrise, so make sure to rest up before your trip.

Test your equipment, charge batteries, and clear memory cards the day before departure. If you don’t own a lens with a focal length of 400mm or longer and want to photograph wildlife, consider renting equipment with us for your tour.

Weather in Grand Teton National Park changes quickly, so layers are important. Temperatures before sunrise may be below freezing and rise to 80 F by mid-day. Snow, sun, and rain can all occur in a single day.

We will provide snack bars, tea, and instant coffee for your enjoyment during the day. Don’t forget a water bottle!

Want to photograph like a pro, but don’t have pro equipment? We have you covered.

Whether you shoot Nikon, Sony, or Canon we have super-telephoto lenses available to rent for your trip to the Tetons or Yellowstone. If you don’t have a camera or want to try the latest technology in wildlife photography, we also rent pro mirrorless cameras with animal-eye detection focus to help you achieve your creative vision.

Choose gear rental when you reserve your trip.
