Cancellation by Pangea Expeditions and associated charters

Cancelations made by Pangea Expeditions directly will result in a 100% refund less credit card processing fees.

Should circumstances out of Pangea Expeditions’ control such as flight cancelations or delays, yacht or floatplane issues, weather, etc. alter the itinerary of the trip, Pangea Expeditions is not responsible for any additional fees incurred by the participant nor refunds for decreased time at our destination. We will do our best to ensure a successful trip should any changes occur. If Pangea Expeditions receives refunds from the ship charter, floatplane charter, etc. on behalf of such unforeseen trip changes, these refunds will be distributed accordingly to participants.

Due to the wildness of Alaska, we strongly encourage purchasing travel insurance for your trip to protect yourself against any unforeseen changes to your trip, flight issues, lost baggage, etc. Flight and/or baggage delays are common in Anchorage and Kodiak, so it is best to be prepared.

Belongings, Equipment, and Personal Safety

Every effort will be made to ensure your personal safety and the safety of your belongings though we do not accept responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged property.

A packing list will be provided but it is the responsibility of the participant to be sufficiently prepared for their own personal needs in regards to camera gear, outdoor gear, medications, etc.

It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure they are in sufficiently good health in order to fully participate in the trip activities. Inability to participate while on the trip is not the responsibility of Pangea Expeditions and will not receive a refund. These activities may include walking 2-3 miles per day, sitting still watching bears for several hours at a time, as well as being in chilly, rainy, or windy conditions while on shore.
